The CAP Advisor is the high school expert for the school’s College Assistance Program. Many NWSA students will go on to college programs. This includes specialized schools for the arts, as well as full liberal arts or engineering schools.

The PTSA plays a vital role for such students by:

  • funding the CAP advisor position at NWSA,
  • making parents and students aware of CAP related activities,
  • organizing CAP events,
  • providing CAP information to parents and students.

CAP activities typically focus on juniors, as they prepare for the college admissions process. Recognizing that the sooner the student begins planning for college the better, this year (2011-2012) the PTSA has organized an event for freshman and sophomore students. The presenters have kindly provided their power point slides for posting to the NWSA PTSA website.
